Duties
I performed all rigging on this job. This included the ‘hero’ octopus, as well as biped rigs that were plate-matched for various effects.
I rigged the main octopus body with multiple levels of sculpting controls that made extensive use of the ‘slidy’ properties inherent in NURBS tessellation.
Similarly, the tentacles featured bezier-like controls at different densities, with an added layer of both procedural and keyframed FK controls for curls, twists and so on.
The biped rigs also featured several layers of ‘sculpting’ controls to enable very close plate-matching.
